Poochy’s Place
Here we are again, another day, another review of some amazing food in the beautiful Shelbyville, Ky. Poochy’s Place is an amazing BBQ carry out restaurant with catering services, and I can tell you right now, the next time I need catering Poochy’s Place is getting my business!
The moment you pull into the parking lot you are greeted with the number one thing that every true BBQ lover wants to see, a smoker the size of a small car accompanied by the amazing smell of smoked, well everything! Thank you Poochy! Thank you!

So what did you get?
Well my friends, I think I got a little piece of heaven. I ordered the Rib Tips with Mac and Cheese, Ghetto Beans, and medium barbecue sauce. Wow, just wow! The Rib tips were cooked to perfection! Every bite was field with the wood flavor from the smoker perfectly and after dipping it in the medium BBQ sauce to give it a little kick I can’t say enough about it! If you love Rib Tips you have to go to Poochy’s Place now and give it a try.
For my first side I ordered what is a staple in all BBQ places… the Mac and Cheese! Needless to say, I loved it, and I want more. Soooo much more! So lets just list it out…
- Perfect temperature… check
- Creamy Perfection… check
- Perfectly cook macaroni noodles… check
- Though I had died and gone to heaven… check
For my second side I wanted to try something different, something that was new, something that was fresh. Introducing Ghetto Beans, ho… ly… snap!!!!!!! With 5 different beans an explosion of flavor burst forth and allows the consumer to know what flavor is. I can’t say enough about these beans but… as a little side note if you dip your fork in the medium BBQ sauce and then take a bite… Just DM me a “thank you” later!
